Learn how to make sauerkraut in this hands-on class at Lancaster Homebrew! We will cover all of the steps involved and everyone attending will be able to take home their own handmade 1 gallon batch of kraut. Since this class is hands-on, everyone will be making their own batches of kraut with guided instruction and explanation. Sauerkraut made for this class will be ready in time for your Christmas or New Year’s Day festivities.
This class includes
– 1 gallon glass fermenting jar with airlock which you will take home with you!
– Salt needed for brining.
You will need to bring:
– 5lbs. of cabbage
– Large Bowl for holding cabbage for brining.
– And a knife that you feel comfortable working with.
