Description
Join us at Lancaster Homebrew and learn to make mead with William Wrede, meadmaker at Meduseld Meadery! Discover the history of one of the oldest known ferminted drinks and learn how to make it yourself. People have been enjoying mead for thousands of years, and now it is your chance to make a one gallon batch to take home and enjoy. You can choose one of 3 options for your batch of mead; traditional mead, cherry or vanillia. There will also be mead samples to try. Must be 21 or older to participate in this class. For those who are new and have no other fermenting equipment, you will need a racking cane and another jug to siphon the mead into after one month. This step is not mandatory, however, greatly improves clarity.
Class includes:
Lesson
2 Gallon Bucket with lid
1 Air lock
1 Gallon of un-fermented mead
1 yeast packet
yeast nutrient and energizer
