CLASS IS FULL!

LIMITED SPACE!

Join us for this special class and learn how to make wine from fresh local grapes!  Our guest speaker will be Dave Vollmer of Vollmer Farms.  Dave is a local farmer and winemaker who owns a vineyard in Parkesburg, Pa.  He will be sharing his wealth of knowledge on preparing grapes for fermentation.  You will learn how to make a blush style wine and a big red table wine from the same grape.  Discussion will include acidity testing, ph adjustments, chapitilization and more!  Be sure to come with a pen, paper and any questions you have.

CRUSHED GRAPES FOR SALE!

Dave will have fresh crushed grapes available for purchase after the class is over, which you can take home with you and make into your own wine!  Each bucket will have 5 gallons of  crushed grapes made from the Marechal Foch grape, which will yield 3 to 4 gallons of finished wine depending on how you ferment and press the must.  Marechal Foch (a French-American Hybrid) is a very versatile grape making anything from a light bodied rose to a full bodied steak-worthy red.

If you are interested in purchasing crushed grapes, you must call  Lancaster Homebrew (717-517-8785) to reserve a bucket  by Thursday, September 3rd.  Five gallons of crushed grapes is $50.00.  Please have a cash payment ready that day to pay Dave directly!

If you prefer you can also order fresh UNCRUSHED grapes by the pound.  Price is $1.00 per pound.  Call Lancaster Homebrew by September 3rd to place your order.  Please have a cash payment ready that day to pay Dave directly!
