This Belgian yeast strain produces similar characteristics of fruitiness and plum like the WL500. Sometimes described as giving the beer a slight taste of licorice. Lower fermentation temperatures (below 65F) will subdue these flavors. Use in dubbels, trippels, Belgian ales, and high gravity beers.
