Saturday, July 10th starting at 9am (to beat the heat) we will go through the basics in getting started in all grain brewing. We will explain the mashing process and build a mash tun from a cooler. We will through names in a hat and pull a winner to keep the mash tun.
Please let us know if you plan to attend. Thanks
It’s finally done! We are having a little tapping party on Thursday at 7pm. Stop out if you can.

Had a lot of fun brewing with Paul and Collin the other day at Iron Hill. My stout will be on tap in a few weeks. Here are som pictures from the day.

Here, Paul is hooking up pipes to pump hot water from the liquor tank into the brewing vat where that mash will take place

Yes, I'm inside the mash tun. After the mash is pumped to the lauter tun, the mash kettle needs to be competely rinsed of all grain before the first running are pumped back in.

Paul begins to conduct the lauter. It is recirculated until it is clear of particles and then transferred back to the brewing kettle
Finally have a date set. May 12th, I will be brewing my award winning sweet stout with Paul at Iron Hill Brewery. It should be on tap by the end of May. I’ll keep everyone posted.
The store will be closed, since I will be over there all day.
